Welcome all to the thirtieth Rotanote for the Rotary 2019-20 year. This week our speakers were two International Youth Exchange students, Luise Hochstetter from Austria and Matthias Lebreton from France. These weren’t the two we were expecting but nevertheless they were very entertaining. Luise’s family already has a connection with NZ as one of her relatives was an early explorer here and has several geographic features named for him and of course there is also the endangered Hochstetter’s frog. Next week we have Mike Elliott, CEO of Sport Auckland coming to talk to us. Mike has had extensive experience in the sporting arena and should be a very interesting speaker.
