Welcome all to the forty-third Rotanote for the Rotary 2021-22 year. This week we unexpectedly had two speakers. Joanne Stevenson from the Petal Foundation gave us a short presentation on her work with new born babies suffering from withdrawal symptoms caused by their mothers use of alcohol and drugs.
Joanne was followed by Professor Susan Morton who is the principal investigator on New Zealand’s biggest longitudinal study – Growing Up in New Zealand – more in the bulletin.
Next week our speaker is our local MP, Simon O’Connor, who I am sure needs no introduction.
